On 16th October 2022 we held our 5th wedding fair here at Hemswell Court. Covid had gotten in the way for the previous couple of years, so we were excited to be able to hold another event. We were blessed with a lovely autumnal day with blue skies and even sunshine.
On arrival each bride or groom who registered with us was given a complimentary goodie bag – thank you to our generous suppliers Whitakers, Temple Spa and Batemans Brewery for their kind donations and was entered into a prize draw to win a very large bottle of red wine donated by Hallgarten Wines. Our winner was very happy with her prize.
During the day, our staff were on hand to show our 5* AA rated guest accommodation and to also offer advice on booking our venue. Many thanks to all our staff who worked hard on the day.
We had a great selection of local suppliers standing, many who support us on a regular basis and some new ones too, these included:
Blush Venue Décor decorated the private drawing/civil marriage room with chair covers, sashes, blossom runners and candles and then set out a stunning table set in the primrose room for table decoration ideas.
Flowers by Simone who was a first time attendee showed her talents in bouquets and floral decorations.
Fallen Hero, Fielder Ellis Formal Wear and Hancock Menswear where on hand to advise our grooms how to dress for their big day with their stylish suits.
Stephen Jones – White7Lincoln and Gems Vintage Car showed their beautiful cars stood in our gorgeous grounds.
Magic Images Photo Booths brought their Magic Mirror, which is always great fun.
All Occasions Casino were attending again with their casino and other games.
Emily Martin Music entertain with her beautiful singing and playing the piano in our grand entrance hall as guests arrived.
Hair demonstrations were provided by The Style Lounge Hairdressers who also showed beautiful hair accessories for the big day.
Our photographers attending were PM Photography who is a regular here at Hemswell Court with a signature pose for the wedding couple, Pears Photography and Emily Florence Photography who were new to our fair, each gave advice on all the bests spots for those important and precious photos.
Sheila Stamp Travel was another returnee who offered honeymoon and travel advice.
Neon Sky Fireworks were able to discuss display options for your evening reception.
John Morton, Magician was on hand to blow your mind with his magic and tricks.
Wedding accessories, chair covers and games with a gorgeous sweetie cart to tempt our guests was provided by My Wedding Hire.
Gorgeous hair accessories and handbags were offered by Hats and Tiaras who recently won a Great Big Small Award.
Chequers Boutique not only stood but also modelled some of their stunning “mother of” and wedding dresses.
Tasty and beautiful designed cakes where on display by One Stop Cake Shop, Cakes by Zoe and Gens Cake Shed.
The grand entrance hall was decorated by Vixie J Balloons and her fabulous balloon display.
Our In House Disco and DJ were present to help and discuss music choices.
Elizabeth Kate Bridal Couture, Osh Gosh Gowns and Naomi Bridal Boutique showed off stunning dresses for the brides.
Celebrant, Ceremonies by Amanda was on hand to give advice to couples, a first visit but definitely not the last.
Unfortunately, two of our suppliers couldn’t attend Justine Gould Flowers and Dougs Horse and Carriage but I am sure we will see them again soon.
It was fantastic day with lots of lovely comments from everyone attending. A big thank you to all our brides and grooms and their family and friends for visiting us and also to our wonderful suppliers for their new and continued support.

Hemswell Court are delighted to inform you that our 5th Wedding Fair will be held on Sunday, October 16th, 11am – 3pm. Showcasing the leading local wedding suppliers including florists, photographers, videographers, cake makers, venue stylists, bridal couture, grooms wear, bridal cars, entertainment and much more!
Admission is free to all Brides, Grooms and their ‘I do crew’. Our Bridal Suite and guest bedrooms will be open for guided tours and Hemswell Court staff will be available to assist anyone who may be thinking about having their wedding with us.
The first 100 Brides and Grooms to sign in at registration in the Grand Hall will receive a free goodie bag and all Brides and Grooms can enter our free prize draw.

On 9th February 2020 we held our 4th wedding fair here at Hemswell Court. Despite the terrible rain and wind from our visiting storm Ciera our suppliers arrived in good time to set up their stands ready to meet our brides and grooms.
Each bride or groom who registered with us was entered into a prize draw to win a bottle of champagne and was given a complimentary goodie bag.
Our kitchen provided a tasty selection of homemade canpés for our guests to try and our staff were on hand to show our 5* AA rated guest accommodation and to also offer advice on booking our venue.
We had a great selection of local suppliers, many who support us on a regular basis and some new who I am sure we will continue to work with, these include the following –
Blush Venue Décor and The Florist decorated the private dining room with stunning table decorations and a beautiful flower archway
Candy Cart Creations showed off a variety of games which can be played inside or out
Fallen Hero and David Jason Formal Wear advised our grooms how to dress for their big day with stylish suits
Fabulous Cars unfortunately because of the weather could not bring their vintage car to show off but still attended to offer their services
Magic Images Photo Booths one of our new companies allowed us to play with the magic mirrors creating some funny images of our staff (which I am not allowed to show or our staff will go on strike lol)
Our local registrar was also unable to attend due to the weather but has always supported our other fairs

Our florists Justine Gould Flowers by Arrangement and Fabulous Flowers both of who are regular visitors showed off their talents with creative floral displays
Beauty demonstrations where provided by The Style Lounge hairdressers and Rochelle Rose Village Retreat who attended for the first time
Our photographers PM Photography Ltd, Robert Scatliffe Photography and Massey Photography where on hand to offer their services and display their albums which help keep those precious memories
Neon Sky Fireworks again one of our regular visitors, were able to discuss display options for your evening reception
Polka Dot Creations who attended for the first time showed their bespoke stationery and signs
Wedding accessories to include love letters, post boxes and signs where shown by Jasmine Tree and My Wedding Hire
Hair accessories by Hats and Tiaras where shown for the first time this year
Delightful cakes where on display by One Stop Cake Shop who also decorated the grand entrance hall with their balloon arch display
Our In House Disco and DJ were present with the colourful uplighters which often set off the Ballroom for the evening reception
And last but certainly not least our bridal wear suppliers, Stephanie Kate Bridal Couture, Osh Gosh Gowns and Bridal Reloved Caistor showed off stunning dresses for the radiant brides
Overall we had a successful wedding fair with lots of positive comments from both suppliers and visitors. A big thank you to all our brides and grooms and their family and friends for turning out on such an awful day and to all our staff for the wonderful organisation of the fair.

Hemswell Court is hosting its 4th annual wedding fair on 9th February 2020, 11.00am to 3.00pm. We have a host of local suppliers including florists, cake makers, photographers, bridal and men’s wear, musicians, entertainers, car hire, hair and beauty, room decorators, stationers and our local registrar.
Our staff will be on hand to offer advice.
The fair is open to everyone not just those who are booked at our venue. The first 100 guests who register with us will receive a goodie bag and be entered into a prize draw for a bottle of champagne.
