What time is check in?
Rooms are usually ready from 1.00pm but always advisable to call as times can vary depending on the event.
What time is check out?
We ask all our guests to vacate by 10.00am. This is to enable our housekeepers to service the rooms for our next guests.
What time is breakfast?
Breakfast is served from 8.30am to 9.30am but can be subject to change.
What is served for breakfast?
Breakfast is a buffet style with yoghurts, pastries, fresh fruit, cereals and smoothies, followed by a full cooked choice breakfast.
Do you have a lift in the building?
No lift only stairs.
Do you have disabled facilities?
Hemswell Court has ground floor rooms with disabled facilities, wheel chair ramps for access and a disabled toilet.
Do your rooms have baths or showers?
All rooms are en suite, some with baths and some showers. If you have a preference please ask when booking your room.
Can you cater for special diets?
All food is freshly prepared and where possible we adapt the menu for which ever special diet is required. Please inform us before attending though.
Do you allow pets?
No unfortunately no pets are allowed on the premises.
Do you have Wi-Fi?
Wi-Fi is free for guests to use in the main function rooms, bedrooms, the bar area and the main entrance hall.
Are you open to the public?
Hemswell Court is a private venue so all functions are exclusive to the hirer.
Do you have car park facilities?
Hemswell Court has free car parking for 70 cars.
Do you have the following for guests in their bedrooms – TV, hairdryer, iron and board, kettle, mini bar, tea and coffee facilities?
Each room has tea and coffee facilities, hair dryers and TV’s. Irons and ironing boards are available from reception. Drinks are available from the bar.
Do you offer baby sitting or crèche facilities?
Sorry we do not offer this facility.
Do you have telephones in the bedrooms?
At present rooms do not have telephones but it is something we are looking into.
Can I charge drinks to my room?
Yes this can be arranged for you.
Can we marry outside?
Hemswell Court is licenced to marry in the bandstand in the garden as well as inside.
Can you stay overnight if you are not attending a function?
If we do not have an event taking place we may be able to help but we are not a hotel we are a venue with accommodation so we work slightly different.
Can you book online?
No sorry all bookings need to be made over the telephone.
How do I pay for my room or function?
Payment can be made by cash, credit card or bank transfer.
Do you have any amenities on site?
As Hemswell Court is not a hotel so unfortunatley we do not have any amenities for guests, only a bar area but we do have beautiful gardens
Do you have a lost property department?
All items which are left are handed into the office and noted. If you think you may have left something please ring to arrange collection. All items are kept for 3 months and then given to a local charity if not collected.
What is your Cancellation Policy?
We kindly ask that should you need to cancel a booking for a bedroom that you call as soon as possible enabling us to release the room for another guest. All function booking must be cancelled in writing.
