Hemswell Courts second wedding fair was an amazing success.
We had over 150 visitors and 80 brides and grooms registered with us – all of whom received a goodie bag and entry into the prize draw to win a bottle of Taittinger Champagne. Congratulations to Susan and Michael the lucky winners of the bottle of bubbly, and they are getting married with us later this year. The goodie bags were a huge success, but not nearly as popular as the House Canapes that the chefs had prepared fresh from our kitchen.
With 30 selected leading local wedding suppliers there was a huge wealth of knowledge and experience on hand for the brides and grooms that attended. As the visitors arrived they were greeted by beautiful cars from Select Limos and Silver Spirit Wedding Cars, Premier Novelty Vehicles and Fabulous Cars, all parked in the turning circle that is a stunning feature of Hemswell Court.
Once through the arched entry and into the Grand Hall the friendly team from Hemswell Court were greeting and registering brides and grooms, you couldn’t miss us with the giant Mr & Mrs Balloons from Vixie J Balloons floating over the reception desk. There was music from Kamla Gilbert on the Grand piano and fragrant flowers on display by Fabulous Flowers.
For couples who were very newly engaged Judith the Front of House Manager and her team were showing guests around the 5star AA rated bedrooms and discussing the options for weddings at Hemswell Court.
The Ceremony room had been laid out for a ceremony for 40 guests and dressed by Blush Venue Décor, with the very talented Sophie Jane serenading visitors on her violin and singing.
The Primrose Room with its beautiful views over the gardens and the ballroom were bursting with stunning I do ideas.
We had music from Emily Martin on her piano and the QL Entertainment team with the disco and a Harpist. There were sweet treats from Candy Cart Creations, Sugar Rose Cake Design and One Stop Cake Shop. Photography and videography advice was available from PM Photography and Wedding HD, Ed and Maggie Sewell, Paul Massey and Pure Photography Booths and Snapz Photography had us all posing for their photo mirrors and in their photo booth.
For inspiration to make your venue individual to you we had styling ideas from Blush Venue Décor and Sally Schofield and beautiful balloon art from Vixie J Balloons. There were flowers by Flower Barn and Justine Gould Flowers. With accessories and gift ideas we had The Jasmine Tree and bespoke invites and table plans from Jo Sellars.
Osh Gosh Gowns and Caroline Chamberlain Couture, of The Bridal Boutique wowed our Brides with their stunning wedding dresses and for the Grooms there was formal wear from Wiseguys.
There was magic in the air with performances from John Morton and Neon sky fireworks adding a touch of sparkle to the event.
So with everything for the big day planned it was time for the honeymoon and Sheila Stamp – Travel Counsellor was brimming with great ideas for stunning locations.
